We're now in Boudha, home to one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. It's not small!

It is very peaceful here with lots of Buddhist chanting, incense burning and prayer wheel spinning. Pretty much all day, there are pilgrims, devotees etc circumambulating the stupa, saying their prayers and spinning the wheels.

This morning we did a roughly 5k walk to visit Pashupatinath, apparently one of the holiest Hindu sites in the world, situated on the Bagmati River. (There seem to be a lot of religious superlatives around these parts). The smoke you can see in one of the pictures is coming from funeral pyres.

This will be our last day of having any internet access, so this really will be the last post until mid-July. Early start in the morning to meet up with the headteacher of the school we're off to, and travel up there with him – the last leg will be a 5ish hour walk with all our bags. Apparently the school's two computers have been in Katmandu being repaired, and we'll also be taking those with us, so I think we may be hiring some porters (we've repacked our bags to try and make them a bit lighter, but I'm not sure we're up for 5 hours of carrying our rucksacks and a PC each!)

We're really looking forward to getting our teeth stuck into some teaching (and geeking for Drew).
